T&R Electric puts reliability in writing. Every transformer we recondition or rewind is guaranteed against defects in workmanship and materials. T&R exceeds industry standards by offering up to a three year warranty on rebuilt and rewound transformers. T&R Electric is proud to have the latest technology in loss measurement for power transformers that can measure losses to greater than 1% accuracy. All transformers undergo a standard series of tests that conform to current ANSI standards. Our testing capabilities include:
  1. Winding resistance
  2. Turns ratio on all connections and taps
  3. Applied potential test
  4. Induced potential test (180 hertz for 7200 cycles)
  5. Exciting current and no-load loss (core loss) measurement
  6. Impedance and load-loss measurement
  7. Insulation power factor
  8. Insulation resistance (megger)
  9. Core ground insulation
